EPOCH Senior Living poetry class shines in Brown University publication

April 20th, 2010 · No Comments · News stories

(Brad Turner) One of our clients, EPOCH Senior Living, recently received prominent coverage in Today at Brown, a publication serving students, staff and alumni of Brown University. A poetry-writing class at EPOCH Assisted Living on the East Side, an EPOCH community in Providence, R.I., made for a fun feature about an energetic instructor from Brown who helped a skeptical group of senior citizens find their inner poets.

EPOCH did a great job of creating an interesting class and spreading the word about it. And the people who gave interviews were genuine and funny. As Karen Ferranti, East Side’s activities director, said: “I thought it was going to be a disaster, but now it’s one of their favorite activities.” That kind of honesty and humor helped the reporter turn a unique class for seniors into a great story for her readers.
